FLORIDA — A 2-year-old child is dead and two adults are in critical condition after a shooting inside a Melbourne home Friday night, according to police.
Officers responded to a residence off Poplar Lane around 10 p.m. following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found three victims inside: two adults and a 2-year-old child.
Police said the child died at the scene. The two adults were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators confirmed the victims are related.
Authorities said the investigation remains active, and additional details will be released as they become available.
