FLORIDA — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning.
According to deputies, they responded around 2:50 a.m. to the intersection of Piedmont Street and Campanella Avenue after receiving reports of an unresponsive man. When deputies arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot.
The victim was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, deputies said.
Several nearby roads were blocked off as part of the investigation, and deputies were seen searching the area for a possible suspect. Authorities did not release any information about arrests or a potential motive.
“The investigation is in its early stages, and we have no further information to release at this time,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim’s identity has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
