
FLORIDA — Police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one teenager dead and another injured Friday night in Tampa, according to authorities.
The Tampa Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of East 114th Avenue at approximately 11:30 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two victims, both in their late teens, suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the teens was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries that police said were not life-threatening.
Investigators said the shooting does not appear to be a random incident. No suspect information has been released, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
