FLORIDA — A shooting early Monday morning left one man dead and another injured, according to the Melbourne Police Department.
Officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. to the Summerset Apartments near Croton and Lake Washington roads after receiving reports of a “suspicious incident.” As they arrived, police said they heard gunshots nearby.
Two adult men were found in front of an apartment. One was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
