ALABAMA — An investigation is ongoing after a deadly shooting was reported Thursday night in Cowarts.
According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 2900 block of Jordan Avenue at approximately 9:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
The Houston County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 16-year-old Karion Parrish. No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were immediately released.
Deputies remained on the scene through the night as the investigation continued. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office said additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
