ALABAMA — A 35-year-old woman was killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. to the 2200 block of High Street. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified as Velgenia Brown, dead inside the home. A man remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said the incident involved people who knew each other.
The department stated, “We have concluded our investigation and have handed it over to the DA’s office.” No further information has been released.
