GEORGIA — A shooting in Moultrie early Sunday morning has left one person dead and another in critical condition.
The Moultrie Police Department responded around 2 a.m. on October 26 to North McNaughton Boulevard after reports of shots fired. Officers arriving at the scene observed a large group of people leaving the area.
Police found 24-year-old Quincy Alford with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital but died from his injuries on October 28.
Later, a call from another hospital reported that a 15-year-old boy had arrived with a gunshot wound. The teen remains in critical condition.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been asked to assist with the investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Moultrie Police Department at (229) 890-5500 or the tip line at (229) 890-5449.
