OHIO — A 31-year-old man is dead following a shooting early Thursday morning at a bar in Akron, according to police.
Officers responded to a call at Old Glory Daze on Old Main Street around 2:30 a.m. and found two men, ages 31 and 44, suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident began in the bar’s parking lot when the younger man approached the older man and opened fire.
The 44-year-old victim then retreated into the bar, where he collapsed.
Police said the 31-year-old followed him inside. At that point, the older man reportedly pulled a handgun and returned fire, fatally shooting the 31-year-old.
Neither man has been identified. The condition of the 44-year-old has not been released.
The case remains under investigation by Akron police.
