OHIO — A fatal crash involving a semi truck occurred early Wednesday morning on U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), troopers responded to the scene near milepost 6 in West Township around 4:45 a.m.

Authorities said Robert J. Walters, 59, of Manchester, New Jersey, was driving a semi when he veered off the right side of the road at a curve, causing the truck to go down an embankment and overturn onto its roof.

Walters was pronounced dead at the scene.

One lane remains open as OSHP continues to investigate the crash.
