OHIO — One person is dead and another seriously injured following a plane crash Sunday morning near State Route 307.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A witness reported seeing the aircraft strike a tree before crashing in a front yard.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The second individual suffered severe burns but is expected to recover, authorities said.
Flight records show a Diamond DA20 Katana took off in the area at 9:31 a.m. and landed around 10:11 a.m., though troopers have not confirmed whether that aircraft was involved in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are responding to investigate.
