GEORGIA — At least one person, the pilot, died in a plane crash Saturday evening, according to Baldwin County Fire Rescue.
Officials said the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. off Nelson Road.
Firefighters arriving at the scene found a twin-engine Cessna plane and confirmed the deaths of the pilot, a passenger, the pilot’s dog.
Baldwin County authorities have secured the crash site and are awaiting investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
