TEXAS — One person was killed and another was critically injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan Sunday night in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stuebner Airline Drive and Lyons School Road in the Klein area.
Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling south on Stuebner Airline Drive while a Honda sedan was heading north. Deputies said the sedan attempted to make a westbound turn onto Lyons School Road when the motorcycle struck the side of the vehicle.
There were three passengers in the sedan. Authorities said the passenger seated closest to the point of impact was killed.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
Officials said they do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, and both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. Deputies are also working to obtain surveillance video from the area.
The crash remains under investigation.
