One person dead following motorcycle crash in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — One person died Saturday afternoon following a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer on Highway 321 near Kings Mountain Street.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. on July 12, involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Mack tractor-trailer, according to York Police.

Officials said the motorcyclist crossed left of center and struck the tractor-trailer head-on. The rider was not wearing a helmet.

The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from their injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
