SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle crash along Interstate 20 in Lee County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened near mile marker 111. A 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound when it spilled onto the roadway. Authorities said the motorcycle was then struck by a 2018 Mercedes van that was also traveling east.
The motorcyclist died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the van was not injured, officials said.
No additional details, including the identity of the motorcyclist, have been released. The crash remains under investigation.
