SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 17 near Petigru Drive, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:42 a.m. when a Ford SUV traveling north on Highway 17 collided with a motorcycle heading south, troopers said. A third vehicle then crashed into the two.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
