One person dead following motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — A 52-year-old man from Columbia Borough, Lancaster County, died Tuesday evening after his motorcycle crashed in East Hempfield Township, authorities said.

The East Hempfield Township Police Department reported the crash occurred around 9:23 p.m. on the 400 block of South Chiques Road.

Investigators said the motorcyclist lost control while navigating a curve. No other vehicles were involved.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Benjamin Weaver at 717-898-3103.
