PENNSYLVANIA — A 19-year-old man died early Tuesday after a motorcycle crash near the Armstrong Tunnel in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood.
The crash occurred just before 12:25 a.m. on the inbound side of the tunnel near Duquesne University.
According to Pittsburgh Police, the motorcyclist was speeding and failed to negotiate the curve at the end of the tunnel, causing him to be thrown from the bike.
He was transported to a hospital in critical condition but died a short time later.
The crash remains under investigation by Pittsburgh Police.
