One person dead following motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — One person was killed in an early-morning crash involving a trike-style motorcycle Saturday in Columbia Borough, according to police.

Authorities said the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. in the area of South 12th Street and Lancaster Avenue. The road was closed for several hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.

Police said the trike-style motorcycle was found on its side and the rider, an adult man, was located on the sidewalk nearby. The rider received treatment at the scene and was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Officials have not released the victim’s identity. Police said the crash remains under investigation and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact Columbia Borough Police at 717-684-7735.
