One person dead following motorcycle crash in Ohio

OHIO — A 46-year-old Cincinnati man has died following a motorcycle crash Sunday evening in the city of Wyoming.

Police responded to the area of 18 Burns Avenue shortly after 7:20 p.m., where they found an unconscious man at the scene.

Officers administered CPR before the victim was transported to UC Medical Center with critical injuries.

He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

On Monday, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as John Shimkowiak.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Wyoming police and the Hamilton County Traffic Safety Team.
