OHIO — A Brookville man was killed Monday evening in a motorcycle crash in Darke County after being ejected from his bike during a collision with an SUV.
The crash occurred around 7:33 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 49 and Hollansburg-Sampson Road, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said 52-year-old Steven Copenhaver was riding a red 2024 Kawasaki Ninja when a white 2016 GMC Terrain, driven by a 64-year-old woman, failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the motorcycle.
The impact threw Copenhaver from the motorcycle. Medics attempted lifesaving measures, including CPR, but he died at the scene, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
