One person dead following motorcycle crash in Ohio

OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on State Route 193 in Vienna Township.

The incident occurred on August 10 at 9:02 p.m. when a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by James Eschborn, 63, of Cortland, struck a deer, according to officials.

Eschborn was transported by Vienna Township EMS to Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Responding agencies included the Vienna Township Police, Vienna Township EMS and Fire Department, Howland EMS and Fire Department, the Youngstown Air Reserve Fire Department, and Triple M Towing & Transport.

The crash remains under investigation.
