OHIO — A man was killed early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that shut down a highway ramp in Perrysburg Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened around 1 a.m. on the ramp from I-475 South to I-75 North. A motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Dustin Moore, was traveling south on I-475 when he lost control, went off the roadway, and struck a guardrail.
Moore was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
A drone was deployed to ensure there were no passengers on the motorcycle, officials said.
The ramp was closed for about two and a half hours and reopened to traffic around 3:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
