OHIO — A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a John Deere tractor occurred Tuesday night in Lewis Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The collision happened around 8:35 p.m. in the 7000 block of Love Road.
Authorities say a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by 56-year-old Ricky Laws, was traveling northbound when it struck the side of a John Deere model 3005 tractor that was in the roadway moving a fallen tree.
Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles. Laws was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor’s operator, 68-year-old Eddie Shoemaker, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mt. Orab Mercy Hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
