OHIO — A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening in Knox County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the scene at 6:25 p.m. on U.S. Route 36 in Centerburg.
Authorities said the motorcycle was traveling eastbound when it went off the right side of the road, hitting a traffic sign and a utility pole.
The driver, 39-year-old Harry Young IV, was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
A female passenger was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries.
Troopers said neither individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
