One person dead following motorcycle crash in Ohio

OHIO — A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Eaton Gettysburg Road in Preble County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

Troopers from the Dayton Post responded to the scene near Spacht Road at around 4:12 p.m. following reports of a collision.

Preliminary findings indicate that 61-year-old Katherine Dailey was riding a Harley-Davidson XD northwest on Eaton Gettysburg Road when she struck the rear of a Toyota Tacoma.

The pickup truck was driven by 52-year-old David Monebrake of Eaton.

Dailey sustained serious injuries and died while being transported to Preble County Medical Center, OSHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
