KANSAS — One person is dead and another was injured following a crash Tuesday afternoon in Wichita.
According to dispatchers in Sedgwick County, the crash was reported around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Oliver Avenue in east Wichita.
Authorities said one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual sustained serious injuries. The injured person was transported for medical treatment. Further details about their condition have not been released.
Officials at the scene indicated the crash involved a rollover and a motorcycle.
The intersection was closed as emergency crews responded, and drivers were advised to use alternate routes, including Hillside or Edgemoor for north-south travel and Harry Street for east-west travel.
