KANSAS — A Garden City man has died following a motorcycle crash late Tuesday night near Holcomb, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on South Holcomb Lane, south of Holcomb.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 44-year-old James Huband was riding a motorcycle southbound when he crossed the center line and entered a ditch on the northbound side of the road. Investigators said Huband lost control, and the motorcycle crashed in a field east of South Holcomb Lane.
Huband was transported to a hospital in Garden City, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash report indicated that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
