FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a sport utility vehicle Saturday night in Port Orange, according to police.
Officers with the Port Orange Police Department responded around 8:55 p.m. to the intersection of Ridgewood Avenue and Kirbly Place following reports of a traffic collision.
Authorities said the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was not injured and remained at the scene following the crash, police said.
Officials have not released the identities of those involved as the investigation continues.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact Traffic Homicide Investigator Officer Garay at 386-506-5838.
The crash remains under investigation.
