FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred on Orange Avenue north of Weatherbee Road. According to the report, the rider was traveling southbound above the posted speed limit and was unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway.
Authorities said the motorcycle veered off the right side of the road and struck a curb. The impact of the collision ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the rider to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. Medical staff later pronounced the individual deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
