TENNESSEE — One person is dead after a workplace incident in East Nashville on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
The Metro Nashville Police Department reported the incident occurred just before 10 a.m. in the 3000 block of Ambrose Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where a man was found fatally injured.
Officials said the victim became trapped between a large forklift and an excavator at the work site. Crews with the Nashville Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene.
No additional details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the incident have been released.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
