OHIO — One person was killed after being struck by an SUV on the city’s west side Monday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Police said the crash occurred at approximately 11:25 p.m. as an adult was walking on North Wilson Road near Enterprise Avenue. The individual was struck by a southbound Chevrolet Equinox.
The pedestrian was transported to Grant Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Authorities said the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox remained at the scene following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.
