
PENNSYLVANIA — A 25-year-old man died early Thursday morning following a serious crash on Molly Pitcher Highway in Greene Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police report that Cristian Lozada-Garcia lost control of his 2016 Volkswagen GTI around 1 a.m. on wet roads.
The vehicle left the southbound shoulder, passed through a row of bushes, and struck an embankment.
The impact caused the car to become briefly airborne before overturning multiple times and coming to rest on its roof in a field off the roadway.
Lozada-Garcia and two other passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
A 24-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, also passengers in the car, were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
The crash resulted in the closure of both sides of Molly Pitcher Highway until the road was reopened at 3:20 a.m.
Police have not released details regarding the speed of the vehicle prior to the accident.
