One person dead following head-on vehicle crash in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — A 23-year-old woman has died following a head-on collision in York County, according to the county coroner’s office.

The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, in the 2500 block of Delta Road (Route 74) in Chanceford Township.

Authorities say Destiny Weitkamp, of Lower Chanceford Township, was driving when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another car.

Weitkamp was transported to WellSpan York Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on Sunday night. The coroner ruled her death an accident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by local authorities.
