FLORIDA — A man was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on crash late Monday night on State Road 40, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of SR-40 and U.S. Highway 17.
A 28-year-old man driving east on SR-40 crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The 28-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in the other vehicle were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
