TENNESSEE — Charges are pending against a driver involved in a deadly head-on crash Friday evening in Clarksville, according to police.
The Clarksville Police Department said the collision occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. on 101st Airborne Division Parkway between Peachers Mill Road and the West Fork Bridge. A preliminary investigation determined that a westbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.
Officials said a female front-seat passenger in the eastbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of that vehicle and a child passenger were transported to hospitals in the Nashville area, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
Police said the woman driving the westbound vehicle was taken to Tennova Healthcare and treated for minor injuries. Charges related to the crash are pending.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved as the investigation remains ongoing.
