
OHIO — A 57-year-old man died Monday evening following a head-on collision in Dayton. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Matthew Horstman.
According to a Dayton Police spokesperson, the crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Riverside Drive between East Hudson and East Norman avenues.
An initial investigation found that a black Ford Edge traveling south on Riverside Drive went into the median, struck a light pole, and continued traveling in the wrong direction before colliding head-on with a black Dodge Caravan.
Horstman, who was driving the Ford, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Three people inside the Dodge were treated at the hospital and later released.
The crash remains under investigation.
