FLORIDA — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating after a kayaker died Thursday in Brevard County.
According to FWC, a 62-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were riding in a tandem kayak during a guided tour on Turkey Creek when the kayak capsized. Officials said the woman was able to prepare to return to the kayak, but the man entered the water and could not be immediately located.
A search was conducted, and the man was later found deceased. His identity has not been released.
FWC officers said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. No additional details were immediately available.
