VIRGINIA — A toddler has died after being found unresponsive in a pool Sunday afternoon, according to the Henrico County Police Division.
Officers responded to a reported drowning at a residence in the 8300 block of Bowers Lane at approximately 1:49 p.m. on June 15.
Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive child and immediately began life-saving efforts until emergency crews from the Henrico County Division of Fire arrived.
The toddler was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries, police said.
Officials noted there were no signs of foul play. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
