OHIO — A 47-year-old man is dead and another man is in custody following a stabbing Friday afternoon, according to the Lima Police Department.
Officers were called to 658 N. Elizabeth Street at around 2:25 p.m. in response to a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found Anthony Townsend with a stab wound to his abdomen. Townsend was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Following an investigation, detectives identified Marcus L. Tyson as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, and Tyson was located and taken into custody in Adams County, Indiana, just a few hours later.
