OHIO — One man died early Thursday morning following a crash on the Ohio Turnpike, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. near milepost 62 in Lucas County.

Authorities say 55-year-old Charles Miller II, of Texas, was driving west when his vehicle veered off the road, striking an embankment and small trees.

Troopers reported that Miller was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
