One person dead following vehicle crash in Indiana

INDIANA — Authorities have confirmed that one person has died following a collision between a truck and a semi in Perry County on Thursday.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred around 11:40 a.m. on State Road 37, just north of Alamo Road.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the highway was shut down in both directions for several hours while Indiana State Police conducted an accident reconstruction.

Officials stated that the semi-truck driver was shaken but uninjured.

The identity of the deceased truck driver has not yet been released.
