
MICHIGAN — One person was killed in a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle Sunday night in Redford Township, according to local authorities.
Police said the crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Kinloch and Six Mile in Wayne County. Investigators believe the ATV was struck by at least one other vehicle, though officials have not released many details about the incident.
The ATV operator was pronounced dead following the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s age, gender or identity.
A witness who was inside a nearby store said he heard a loud thud before coming outside and seeing the crash scene.
Police closed the road for several hours as crews investigated and assessed the situation. Officials said a pickup truck may have been involved, but the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
Redford Township police have not released additional information as the investigation continues.
