LOUISIANA — A 17-year-old was killed Saturday evening in an ATV crash in Acadia Parish, according to authorities.
Officials said the teen was riding an ATV northbound on Louisiana Highway 95 near Wikoff Cove Drive when another vehicle traveling in the same direction struck the rear of the ATV.
Investigators reported the ATV did not have any lights on at the time of the crash. The impact caused the ATV to flip, throwing the teen from the vehicle.
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
