PENNSYLVANIA — A 71-year-old man was killed, and another person was hospitalized following a crash in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. when a black Ford pickup truck traveling south on Clay Pike, near Orchard Drive, crossed the center line and struck the 71-year-old man.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
His identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology results.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
