MISSOURI — One woman is dead and another is seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash Friday evening on Interstate 270.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. as a 2021 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on I-270 near the exit for West Florissant Avenue.
Investigators say the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, and continued off the exit ramp before hitting an embankment.
A 26-year-old woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. A 32-year-old woman also sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Troopers noted that neither woman was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop C.
