OHIO — One person is dead and another is recovering after an early morning shooting in north Columbus on Sunday, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers responded just before 4 a.m. to the 5300 block of Roche Place, near Sinclair Road, following reports of a shooting.
Police say a Lyft driver called 911, reporting that both he and his passenger had been shot.
The driver told dispatchers they had pulled into a Sheetz gas station in the 900 block of East Dublin-Granville Road to seek help.
Both victims were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other remains in stable condition, authorities said.
Police have not released any information about a suspect or a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
