OHIO — A man is dead and another is hospitalized following a head-on collision late Thursday night in Delaware County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on U.S. Route 23, just south of Cheshire Road in Liberty Township.

Investigators said Christopher Carden, 58, of Columbus, was driving a 2015 Honda CRV southbound in the northbound lanes when he collided with a 2017 Ford Transit Van.

Carden was pronounced dead at the scene.
