OHIO — A 22-year-old man died Friday morning after his vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire in Stark County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on State Route 43 near Indian Run Road. Troopers said Michael Weaver was driving a northbound BMW 528xi when he ran off the right side of the road. Bystanders pulled him from the burning vehicle before it became “fully engulfed in flames.”
“Mr. Weaver was taken to Aultman Hospital by Quad EMS where he was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash,” the OSHP announced.
Mohawk Valley Fire and Quad EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
