LOUISIANA — A 49-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said Jason Freeman, 49, was traveling on Louisiana Highway 10 east of Louisiana Highway 965 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. Authorities said his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and became fully engulfed in flames.
Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police said impairment is not suspected as a factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
