OHIO — Police are investigating a fatal crash after a car overturned in a ravine Wednesday night.
According to the Willoughby Police Department, officers responded around 9 p.m. to the I-90 East spur leading to I-271 South after 911 callers reported a vehicle had left the roadway and gone into a wooded area.
When officers arrived, they found an overturned Lexus with a man trapped inside. Police said rescue efforts were difficult due to dense brush in the area.
The 55-year-old driver, a resident of Tacoma, Washington, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
Authorities have not determined what caused the crash.
